Hi Multiculturalists!

We need your help! We are experiencing a transportation issue this weekend: our center van is not available. If you have a personal car and you can take fellow students with you on short drive up Main Street, please make a"comment" and let me know! Here is the church website again, and the address:

AGAPE

We will still meet in the RU round-about / theatre this Sunday. Please call me if you run into any problems. I'll keep you posted via this blog about any updates to our field trip plans this weekend.

What is similar and different between your culture and US culture?

For our 1st blog discussion, I'd like you to recall what we talked about in our last class, reflectly upon the iceberg concept of culture. You must think "deeply" about culture and go beyond the surface of what we know and see. There is a deeper section below the water that makes up larger aspects of "culture".

For your response to our 1st discussion: Please tell us some DEEP examples or observations of what is similar and what is different between your culture and US culture. (This is really 2 questions: "What is similar?" AND "What is different?") For example, you may want to focus on a particular behavior, and explain the reasons why or describe exactly how the behavior is similar or different.
